Out Now: Femi Koleoso Heo Soul & Híp Hop Vol 1.

Known best as the band leader and drummer for Ezra Collective, Femi Koleoso is a renowned British drummer and DJ.  Alongside his deep involvement in the London Jazz scene, Femi spent a number of years as a student of the legendary afrobeat drummer Tony Allen. In recent years Femi has toured and recorded with the likes of Gorillaz, Jorja Smith and Pharoahe Monch. This pack aims to showcase some of Femi’s key drumming styles, incorporating a high-energy blend of afrobeat, hip hop, grime, jazz, and afro-cuban beats, delivering Ezra Collective drum sounds and beautifully played loops.

We were honoured to be able to record a Femi Koleoso drum pack at London's Livingston Studios using the supreme selection of vintage mics, outboard and SSL console there. The hugely talented and long-time Ezra Collective collaborator Riccardo Damian was on engineering duties, meaning Femi's signature drum style was captured with true authenticity.
